LeckhamptonOnline is the new community website for Leckhampton. The concept was developed by Rosie and Jamie Marsland, with creative input from local web designer Jon, of Oomph Design.
Jamie is a guru in social media/online publishing and is the founder of newly formed Pootlepress (if you are looking to set up your own hyperlocal website then contact Jamie at Pootlepress) , and Rosie works as a digital project manager at Think Consulting.
Together we hope to make it easy for you to find out what’s going on in Leckhampton. And we want you to be a part of that too. So if there is something that you want to shout about, know more about, have an irk about, or that we have missed, then please let us know at rosie@leckhamptononline.co.uk. This is where you can register and log in. You need to be registered to be able to use the Forums and Buy & Sell sections. The Home Page will also give you a taste of recent news and events, including our video spots.
News
Brings you up to date with everything Leckhampton.
Buy & Sell
Once you have registered, you can use this section to Buy, Sell and Swap locally. A great way to de-clutter your garage, loft, shed, wardrobe, space under the bed….
Forums
This is where all the fun happens! Got something you want to get off your chest, need to know, or just want to shout out loud about? Then this is the place to do it. Start a new forum and watch the comments roll in. It’s a great way to share, learn and get to know your fellow Leckhamptonites.
Groups
Here you can meet like-minded people and use the Group facility to chat. Join a group that’s relevant to you, or create your own. Make it public and anyone can join, or private and enlist people by invitation. Great for creating Neighbourhood Groups, Book Clubs, Support Groups or for promoting your business to customers and potential clients.
