Meet your local police officers at new Leckhampton surgery
August 31, 2010 in News
Leckhampton Safer Community Team are starting a monthly surgery to be held at the police station in Leckhampton Road.
Police Community Support Officer Ken Bennett said: ““Often people have concerns regarding policing issues in their area that they would prefer to discuss in person.
“I hope by having the meetings on a Saturday more people will be able to pop along and meet their local policing team.”
Leckhampton SCT covers the areas of Benhall and the Reddings, Up Hatherley, Warden Hill, Park, Leckhampton, Charlton Park, Charlton Kings, and Battledown, as well as the part of College ward south of Thirlestaine Road.
PCSO Bennett added: “We will be trying out these monthly surgeries for the next three months to see how they go.
“If the trial is a success we see the community find it useful then we may consider it as a regular event.”
PCSOs from Leckhampton will be available to meet and discuss any policing related issues. They will also be able to give you crime reduction advice as well as security mark your property such as bicycles and mobile phones.
The first of these surgeries will take place at Leckhampton Police Station on Saturday September 4, 2010 between 11am and 1pm.
The next will be on Saturday October 2 and the last one will be on November 6.
