LeckhamptonOnline budget poll makes The Echo

August 27, 2010 in News

We’re very excited that our online budget consulation poll has hit the headlines in The Echo. Well okay, it may not be front page stuff, but we’re still pleased.

There’s still time to have your say on the poll. There are 56 questions and it only takes 5 minutes or so. You can answer each question with a simple click of the mouse to select ‘protect’, ‘reduce’ or ‘stop’ for various council services. Click here to have your say now.

It’s a real eye-opener to see where your money goes and it’s important to have your say. As Cheltenham Borough Council says, “With some difficult decisions ahead we want to engage you in the debate on the future of public services. We want you to tell us what services you want your council to provide.”

Chief Finance Officer Mark Sheldon will be answering your questions on 2 September when he meets with LeckhamptonOnline for a video interview. We need your questions please. Now’s your chance to really find out where the money goes, how much councillors get paid, do 12 public toilets really cost £231,800?

Cheltenham Borough Council are making great efforts to engage with the residents of Cheltenham. Let’s meet them half way. Post your questions to Mark here.
